Cellist Jay Shulman was born to a musical family in New York and attended Syracuse University and Colby College's Hungarian String Quartet summer seminar. Jay was a 36-year member of the Long Island Philharmonic, is active as a chamber music player, recitalist, and teacher, and has produced 9 CD reissues of the music of his father, cellist, arranger, and composer Alan Shulman.
