Top 5 Reasons to Attend
#5 The Cello is the Coolest Instrument
Cello, the coolest instrument ever, is best when shared with other people! A day spent with like-minded cello fans is inspiring for months and months!
#4 This Year's Theme is Orchestral Excerpts and Auditions
One of the best and most rewarding outlets for cello playing is found playing in an orchestra. In addition, polishing and perfecting the tricky excerpts from the many symphonies and overtures is a great way to advance our skills on the instrument. The theme of this spring’s Cello Clinic is all about these excerpts and the process of using them to audition for orchestras.
#3 Cello Fest Receives Rave Reviews
For the past 25 years, since its inception, the UWW Cello Day has consistently received rave reviews and feedback from participants, which is why so many people keep returning year after year!
#2 Benefit from Faculty Expertise & Guidance
Dr. Whitcomb, the other members of Cello Canto, the UWW Cello Ensemble, and the other members of the UWW Cello Club provide every participant with the technical and musical advice they need for optimal advancement.
#1 Masterclass by Robert deMaine
This year's featured guest is the legendary Robert deMaine, principal cellist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to meet and work with one of the greatest cellists on the planet!
