Cello Student Spotlight

Why UW-Whitewater? I chose UW-Whitewater because it was close to home while being far enough away to feel like I was on my own. I really liked how small the classrooms looked and knew I would get a more personal experience rather than just being a number in a big lecture hall at a big college. I also knew some of the professors in the music department, so I was excited to be able to play in campus orchestra.

Why UW-Whitewater? There's many reasons why I chose UW-Whitewater was that the faculty were really down to earth, you could just tell. When I visited UWW it wasn't only the faculty that stood out, but a bright purple poster on the wall that read "UWW Varsity Cello Team." The rest was history.

Why UW-Whitewater? I was drawn to their music education program.

Why UW-Whitewater? It’s close to home, I’ve heard wonderful things about the music program, and purple is my favorite color.

Why UW-Whitewater? Because it was close to home and it had my major. My dad was also a Whitewater grad as well as many of my old teachers.

Why UW-Whitewater? Originally my major was History Education, and Whitewater is a good place for that. I also wanted to attend a smaller in state school. 

Why UW-Whitewater? A large number of reasons. Whitewater being about an hour away from home is the perfect distance, and Whitewater's cost is very manageable. Furthermore, I know of a number of alumni from Whitewater that suggested I attend the university, knowing how good of a school it is.

Why UW-Whitewater? I heard a lot of good things about it so I decided to try for it and see how it goes.

Why UW-Whitewater? Originally because it had a Japanese Studies program and I enjoyed the campus. The second time I'm not sure, but I am glad I did.
