This week I chat with multitalented musician and a George Neikrug former student: Seth MacLeod.

Meet the Guest

Seth MacLeod earned a BM in cello performance from Boston University, where he studied with Michael Reynoldsand George Neikrug. Mr. Neikrug dedicated a cadenza he composed for the Dvořák Cello Concerto to Seth MacLeod. Seth has performed as a soloist with the Wellesley Symphony Orchestra, Lincoln-Sudbury Civic Orchestra, and the Metrowest Symphony Orchestra. He is the principal cellist of the Cape Ann Symphony and Wellesley Symphony Orchestra, and he is also a member of Symphony by the Sea. He plays on a cello made by Ken and Di Meyer. Seth is the Elementary Orchestra Director for Wellesley Public Schools and an Elementary School Strings Teacher for Waltham Public Schools. He also teaches at St. Mark’s School, Waltham Public Schools Private Music Lesson Program, and the Attacca School of Music in Belmont.
