WHAT PEOPLE SAY
It was in private cello lessons that I was able to best appreciate Dr. Whitcomb's skills as an educator. I cannot adequately describe the energy I that he poured into every one of my lessons. His techniques for introducing and reinforcing different skills were creative and highly effective. His passion for music and for teaching were infectious, and spurred my curiosity to learn more deeply. I remember lessons when we somehow got into conversations about advanced music theory and the physics of sound, as related to cello study. The way he explained and demonstrated concepts made me want to know more and more.
